1510 Estrogen promotes stabilization of lymphatic vasculature with cooperation of apelin

چکیده
We have previously demonstrated that both acute and chronic skin inflammation induced by UVB-irradiation resulted in dysfunction of lymphatic capillaries, indicating a critical role function the homeostasis. Recently, we been investigating how morphological alteration capillaries human affects its aging disease. Notably, confirmed significant structural impairment female over 45 years old which can be associated with age-related loss hormones. Meanwhile, number studies shown declining estrogen level women has negative effects on skin. Like this, although importance noticed regulation circulatory system physiology, their relevance functional mechanism is still poorly understood. To investigate direct effect vessels, first expression receptors including ERβ GPR30 endothelial cells (LECs). When LECs were treated major endogenous estrogen, 17β-estradiol (E2), cellular proliferation was promoted LEC hyperpermeability blocked. These results suggested E2 signaling induce lymphangiogenesis while enhancing integrity. Interestingly, co-stimulation low-dose apelin, reported as promoter for vascular integrity, synergistically stabilized disrupted intercellular junction whereas single stimulation or apelin did not. Taken together, strong protective integrity potential target to enhance this without inducing even condition estrogen.

The lymphatic vasculature revisited.
Lymphatic vessels constitute a ubiquitous countercurrent system to the blood vasculature that returns interstitial fluid, salts, small molecules, resorbed fat, and cells to the bloodstream. They serve as conduits to lymph nodes and are essential for multiple physiologic activities. However, they are also hijacked by cancer cells to establish initial lymph node metastases, as well as by infectio...

Nonvenous origin of dermal lymphatic vasculature.
RATIONALE The formation of the blood vasculature is achieved via 2 fundamentally different mechanisms, de novo formation of vessels from endothelial progenitors (vasculogenesis) and sprouting of vessels from pre-existing ones (angiogenesis). In contrast, mammalian lymphatic vasculature is thought to form exclusively by sprouting from embryonic veins (lymphangiogenesis). Alternative nonvenous so...
متن کاملEmerging Roles of Lymphatic Vasculature in Immunity
The lymphatic vasculature has been regarded as a passive conduit for interstitial fluid and responsible for the absorption of macromolecules such as proteins or lipids and transport of nutrients from food. However, emerging data show that the lymphatic vasculature system plays an important role in immune modulation. One of its major roles is to coordinate antigen transport and immune-cell traff...
